Meet Our Founder
Meet Dr. Sharma
Dr. Gaurav Sharma is a research scientist based in Cary, NC. From an early age, his fascination with scientific exploration and discovery was evident. The seeds of his profound interest were sown when he attended his inaugural scientific conference during his kindergarten years, accompanying his father, who himself was immersed in the conference proceedings. This formative experience acted as a catalyst, igniting Dr. Sharma's insatiable curiosity and setting him on an extraordinary path of research and academic achievement.
He undertook the challenge of obtaining a PhD in computational chemistry from the University of Miami with Dr. Rajeev Prabhakar, where he delved deep into the intricacies of this captivating discipline. Armed with a solid foundation and an indomitable spirit, he sought to further broaden his horizons through a postdoctoral fellowship at Michigan State University, sharpening his expertise and expanding his intellectual prowess. At MSU he worked with distinguished university professor Dr. Keeneth Merz where he learned that "Innovation thrives solely within a peaceful mind".
Dr. Sharma, has authored 30 publications and delivered presentations at over 40 national and international conferences. In recognition of his outstanding achievements, he has received prestigious honors, including the Dean's Academic Year Dissertation Award, the Sam and Clara Schreiber Chemistry Research Fellowship, and the Max and Peggy Kriloff Student Scholarship. Dr. Sharma's passion lies in teaching; he thoroughly enjoys sharing knowledge with his students. As a testament to his dedication, he was honored with the Best Teacher award during his PhD program.
